A hearty hello to the many Raiders already setting out on the Serpent Sea and those who shall soon join them. Seeing so many of you already enjoying adventures on the seas is very exciting! It has been fun to watch new game masters, and players explore Grimnir and discover the setting. Though heavily inspired by Norse mythology and historical (and less historically accurate) depictions of Vikings, there are also numerous surprises to be found within it. Folks seem to be enjoying them so far.
I’ve also been pleased to observe that some of the intended dynamics within and between the Epic Backgrounds we created are resonating with players. I’m looking forward to seeing more live plays on YouTube and elsewhere.
As you have probably noticed, this website is looking slick, thanks to the efforts of a friend (as I’ve been too busy working on Raiders to do much here). In the future, expect to see more goodies pop up — including additional free materials (like the Pronunciation Guide and blank world map). And we are also working hard to provide some of the fantastic art available to all of you via the online store.
Regarding Project Updates
For the time being, I’ll continue using the Kickstarter site to provide updates regarding the final fulfillment (printing & shipping). But I also realize many of you will have arrived on the seas from Pledge Manager or, eventually, retail.
This site will gradually become the home to everything Viking related.
So in the way of the first Raiders update here: Shipping rates will go live tomorrow or the day after and we will start asking all of you fine raiders to add the funds required to cover shipping.
